DoggedHealth is a New York based Internet start-up – and one of the most comprehensive and authoritative canine health and wellness sites on the web. The website helps users make educated healthcare decisions for their dogs using information provided by a vet or certified trainer. It also offers a community for dog lovers to share pictures and videos, exchange ideas and get tips on their canine friends.

Problem

DoggedHealth needed a web-based solution that supports its mission and also wanted to develop a dynamic online community for its users. To accomplish that goal, the company looked for a service provider that could successfully integrate all the functionality and design features of the website with the Joomla! and KickApps technologies that drove the site.

Solution 

The OSF Global Services team worked for two months to develop and implement the website. Once the site was running smoothly, OSF came up with new ideas to enhance the functionality. Ideas included the Diagnostic Dog(SM) , a profile of a dog, segmented into the main body parts, that users can click on to bring up relevant symptoms and/or diseases associated with the specific body part.

Results

DoggedHealth has been growing by an average of almost 25 percent each month. Users are now able to access better, more comprehensive information quickly. In addition, more visitors are becoming registered members of the community section of the website.
